Viju Khote, a prominent GSB (a devotee of Ramanthi Temple ;D), is an Indian actor who has acted in minor roles in more than 200 films. He is especially famous as the dacoit "Kalia" in the film Sholay. He has acted in several comedy roles. He is the brother of actress Shobha Khote.
Anyone who claims to be a Hindi film buff would certainly be knowing the origin of the cult dialogue 'Tera Kya Hoga Kalia??'.More than 30 years after the classic 'Sholay' was made, you must be still debating who was better n who was given xtra footage in SHOLAY?
KAALIA (Mucchad, Viju d great) or SAMBA (Daadi waala, MacMohan)???
It’s simple... "Viju" is the winner all the way..!! Just picture this..Samba had only 2 dialogues in d whole movie...
1. "Poore Pachas Hazaar"
2. "khel Janga.. Cheedi ki rani hai.." Samba says this when Ahmed miya is going to jabalpur and gabbar's men are playing cards and catch him.. < So, hence the proof, JANGA is d third henchman in GABBAR's Batallion=))>
Whereas, Our Viju Saab had many and famous dialogues like this..
Gabbar: Bach gaya, sala...Yeh bhi bach gaya.. Ab "Tera kya hoga Kalia??"
Kaalia: (frightened) Sardar, maine aap ka namak khaaya hai, Sardar...
Gabbar: Ab goli kha ?...."Ditchakaoon..." < /A SAD note, TAKE END>...

And also he says to Sanjeev Kumar "Thakur ne Hijdon ki fouj banayee hai" - :P
The Real name of the "FAMOUS HORSE" on which "Kaalia" used to ride in the 1st extortion sequence where all d dacoits return to GABBAR empty handed was "NAFERITI" named after the Egyptian princess 'nefertitti'. she gave a hard time to viju khote during shooting by throwing him off her numorous times. He renamed her 'NAFRATHI'.It shows his awesome sense of humor..!!
He Immortalized "KAALIA" and then "ROBERT" of "Andaz Apna Apna".... I mean how cld u forget the dialogue that he delivers to Paresh Rawal.."sir, shakkar Daalne ka time ho gaya???"
I also love the scene where Viju comes with an antique piece gun sayin "YEH VASCO DA GAMA KA GUN HAI", that whole scene is so funny.. that u wld roll on the floor for Khote Saab's dumb innocence.. However, he also professes, "the blind spots in our lives and how we follow the herd"- When Paresh Bhai says "Teja main hu!! :X mark idhar hai??" - Robert: nods emphitically and says "MARK HONA CHAHIYE"!!
Be it "Talwar Seth" in Namak Halal or his marathi movie "Ashi Hi Banwa Banwi" or be it theatres, he is simply superb!!Better known for his role in the all time block-buster “Sholay” and “China Gate”, “Andaz Apna Apna”, “Rampur ka Laxman” and “Kasauti”!!
Salman always calls "RABBIT" for Robert :X , to viju khote in AAA ... is this the way u treat ur real HEROES..? So, If u LOVE "VIJU KHOTE" , please go ahead and scrap urself 50 times.."I LOVE VIJU KHOTE-LONG LIVE KAALIA"
